A Cool Convertible - The Infiniti G37
For all those people who have been whining for years about the unwillingness of Infiniti to bring us a convertible version of the coupe, shut your mouth because the 2009 G37 Infiniti Convertible is now here! The G37 will actually be the second attmept by infinti at a convertible luxury car.
The Infiniti Convertible gets aluminum trim, seats that are bolstered, and a larger trunk. All Infiniti vehicle come with a plethora of accessories and this one is no different with a Bose sound system, heated seats, a wind shield, and auto climate control. The Bose audio system was designed specifically for the G37 Convertible, and uses digital signal processing/noise-monitoring microphones to adjust sound to compensate for wind and other ambient noises. Rear body panels differ from the regular coupe model, this includes a tonneau cover which covers the retractable convertible top. You can drop the top on the G37 convertible in seconds.
You cannot tell by looking at it buy the convertible model is wider, longer, and features a different rear panels and suspension to accommodate the retractable top. The convertible weight ballons due to the retractable top and all the motorized hardware. Its 453lbs. heavier that the coupe and over 100lbs. more that the 335i drop-top.
Engine wise, the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible has a 3.7L V6 engine producing 327hp and 267lb.lb feet of torque. Be sure to procure your car with a six-speed manual transmission or get the seven speed auto trans. The rolling stock feature some 19-in rims, upgraded brakes, and a quicker steering ratio. All cars with an automatic transmission get cool magnesium paddle shifters. The base model version of the Infiniti convertible should cost just shy of 40k.Upgrade to a stick shift for some more money.
